Big Time ‘Playa’ Needs To Become Big Time ‘Player’

"Do as I say, son, not as I do"

Video: Jackson’s big catch wiped out after flipping ball at coach – Shutdown Corner – NFL Blog – Yahoo! Sports.

Ok- so I’m not gonna get all ‘holier than thou’ on this subject (after all, I’m not a Bronco…har har)….but DeSean? Really? I get that you’re a big time football star, and that you’ve probably gotten lots of free passes and leeway due to your athletic prowess, but the week after you apologize for being deactivated for a game- hurting your own team-( you know, that word that has no ‘I’ in it?) you come back and get all cocky, showboating all over the field (like you’ve been a nonstop machine of great plays lately, no offense!) throw a ball at a coach, and then wipe down your shirt and wipe out a 60 yard play? Are you serious? I feel a little embarrassed for you, bro. You need a lot of attention…it must be exhausting!

But here’s what bothers me most. You step up and help a kid (Nadin Khoury, a teen from PA. who was bullied, and further humiliated by having his bullying ‘sessions’ filmed and posted to YouTube) You get us all teary eyed on The View by appearing on the show to talk about bullying, and you help this kid to better his life, just by the exposure. The kid even got a scholarship to a better school!  So what do you do? You step out on the field and act like a freakin’ bully! You taunt and belittle people on the sidelines, not the men on the field equally padded up. Then you shoulder butt the ref who cancelled out your gain on the play. I’m surprised you weren’t ejected on that one. But it makes no sense to launch a campaign against the very behavior you so naturally exhibit. Pull yourself together, dude- and shine. This kind of stuff is going to just drag you and your team down. We want to like it, but you really make it hard. Do us all a favor and grow up. ok?
